Nayan is usually smiling. Except when he isn’t on the podium. Quick to adapt to different categories is a quality that allows him to make a smooth transition and get up to speed fast. He has raced since he was 13, starting from a local leisure karting track and ending up in the fast-paced environment of global circuits.
He has been identified as one of India’s most talented prospects by India’s premier racing mentor Akbar Ebrahim. And it’s his no-nonsense attitude that has got him this far.
“We have two switches in us – bulls**t mode and serious mode,” Nayan sums up. “When you get into the car, you go on to serious mode.”
Don’t let that smile fool you.
